Volunteer Examiners (VEs) are licensed Radio Amateurs holding a U.S. General Class license or higher, who contribute their time to conduct licensing exams through a FCC authorized Volunteer Examiner Coordinator (VEC) organization. A team of three or more WCARS-VEs test applicants who are applying for a new license or upgrading an existing license.
WCARS-VEC applicant submissions to the FCC provide prompt issuance of new call signs or license upgrades. On normal workdays, this is often accomplished within the hour, and applicants usually leave with their new privileges. WCARS-VEC file submission to FCC
